Felix Magath has bemoaned the feeble attempt by his side to win a second straight game as they went down 2-0 at struggling Augsburg in the Bundesliga yesterday. Magath was full of confidence ahead of the game having seen his side tear apart Hannover only a week ago, but once again, Wolfsburg lacked the right attitude and they were punished for it, according to the experienced coach. \"The side who won was the side which put in more effort,\" he said. \"Augsburg knew what was at stake in this game and they played a great battling game. We did not accept the fight and, as a result, we deserved to lose. We did not have enough players out there today who gave enough effort for such a game and when you face a side who are down at the bottom of the table, you have got to be prepared to fight, but we did not do that.\" Augsburg coach Jos Luhukay was delighted, as were the 29,110 fans inside the Augsburg Arena who witnessed the first ever Bundesliga win in the city. \"It was a great atmosphere and the team and the fans deserved this win,\" he said. \"We held our own against Wolfsburg and, with that little bit of luck, we have deserved our first home win. You could tell throughout the game that we were going to be rewarded for our efforts today.\" Second-half goals from Daniel Brinkmann and Edmond Kapllani sealed the win for the Bavarians.
