Ghana and Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has been chased by Italian giants Juventus to wear their jersey when the summer transfer window reopens, Ghanaian website kickoff.com reports. The Ghanaian website claimed that Juventus president Andrea Agnelli, sporting director Beppe Marotta and coach Antonio Conte held a meeting to discuss how to bring Essien in Italy next summer. The White-Blacks are also keen to get the services of Cameroon and Arsenal star Alex Song in a step to make use of the black content stars. The 29-year-old, Essien joined Chelsea in 2005 for GBP 24million, but has been dogged by injuries recently and could move on with Chelsea set to do a clear out this summer. Essien sustained a tear ligament during the pre-season camp, hereby he has been ruled out of actions for six months and he hasn’t featured with the Blues this season. He also has been left out of Ghana squad for the 2012 African Cup of Nations because of the injury.
