Julio Cesar Falcioni\'s team need just one point from their last three games to be crowned champions, after Godoy were dispatched in Mendoza.First-half goals from Dario Cvitanich and Rolando Schiavi were enough to lead Boca Juniors to a comfortable 2-1 win over Godoy Cruz, a result which brings them to the brink of the title. The ex-Ajax man notched the first goal for his club and was fouled to win the penalty for the second, converted expertly by \'El Flaco\'.A spectacular late goal from Godoy\'s Ariel Rojas cut the deficit, but had no effect on the final result as the away team held on.Boca started off on the front foot as they sought to take another step towards the Apertura title, in front of a Mendoza crowd which appeared to have more Xeneixe than Godoy sympathisers. The fans were rewarded after just 10 minutes, when the away team took the lead.A fluid move left the hosts disorientated at the back, allowing Dario Cvitanich to strike. The former Ajax striker stretched to poke home Diego Rivero\'s low cross, giving the championship hopefuls the perfect start. The Tomba were not disheartened by the setback, and began to push forward in search of the equaliser. There is a reason that Boca have only conceded three goals in the last 15 games, however, and the defensive partnership of Rolando Schiavi and Juan Insaurralde looked solid in the face of the Mendozan outfit\'s opening offensives.Boca meanwhile continued to look dangerous going forward. Cvitanich volleyed wide after a move almost identical to that which yielded the goal, before Pablo Mouche struck the bar with a cross that drifted towards Sebastian Torrico\'s net.The second goal came just before half time, once again in Boca\'s favour. Cvitanich was chopped down in the area and referee Juan Pablo Pompei had no hesitation in pointing to the spot. Rolando Schiavi fired home the resulting kick to give Torrico no chance, leaving the Xeneixe faithful in full voice at the break.Gonzalo Cabrera went close for the host team in the second period, but the leaders maintained their impenetrable backline and looked more and more comfortable as the minutes went by. Godoy threatened a late rally when with two minutes on the clock Ariel Rojas smashed home a beautiful long-range effort, but it was too little too late and Julio Falcioni\'s men went on to record a deserved three points. The win puts the Xeneixe nine points clear of closest rivals Tigre, with three games to play. Boca need just one point to confirm their first title since 2008, while Godoy Cruz failed to strengthen their place in the qualification places for the 2012 Copa Libertadores.
