Gabon continued their fairytale after clinching the U-23 African Championship title following a stunning 2-1 comeback victory over hosts Morocco on Saturday. Morocco took the lead midway through the first half through a goal from Mokhtar Youness but Gabon’s Landry Jerry Obiang leveled the score in the 34th minute. Nono Allen struck four minutes before the interval as Gabon claimed a famous victory which gave them their first ever major title. Both sides, who had already qualified for next year’s Olympic Games in London, finished with ten men.
