Florian Mader cancelled out Marko Devi?\'s opener, but FC Metalist Kharkiv re-established their lead in some style, beating FK Austria Wien 4-1 to progress to the UEFA Europa League round of 32 as Group G winners. Mader responded quickly – if a little fortuitously – after Devi?\'s 16th-minute opener but the visitors\' luck soon ran out; Edmar finished brilliantly before the break and further efforts from Papa Gueye and José Ernesto Sosa completed a comfortable win. Yet all is not lost for Karl Daxbacher\'s men, who would go through with a win against Malmö FF on matchday six if AZ Alkmaar lose to Metalist. Myron Markevich\'s side were on their way once Sosa set up Devi? to beat Heinz Lindner in the Austria Wien goal, and they were not too disheartened when Mader hit back so quickly, looping a shot beyond Vladimir Dišljenkovi? after Florian Klein stole possession on the edge of the Metalist box. Lindner kept out one goal-bound effort as Sosa picked out Devi? again, and Cleiton Xavier twice went close. The pressure finally told on 40 minutes, Edmar shrugging off Peter Hlinka before firing sweetly past Lindner. Austria Wien looked to turn up the heat after the interval; Papa Gueye nodded dangerously close to his own goal and Alexander Grünwald had a header saved by Dišljenkovi?, but Metalist in full flight are a hard side to contain. Sosa\'s corner duly teed up Papa Gueye to find the target at the other end on the hour, and the provider was rewarded for his two assists when Cleiton Xavier\'s delivery from the left allowed him to finish from close range in the final minute.
