Ajax secured only their second win in their last nine Eredivisie outings as they swept aside NEC Nijmegen 3-0 at De Goffert Stadion. The sides were locked at 0-0 at the interval but Ajax upped their pressure after the restart, with Miralem Sulejmani leading the way, scoring in the 53rd and 78th minutes. Substitute Davy Klaassen wrapped up the scoring eight minutes from time. The three points keep Ajax in fourth, three points behind third-placed FC Twente, who could only manage a goalless draw at home to Vitesse Arnhem. Twente\'s slip means they now trail leaders AZ Alkmaar by seven points having played a game more. Feyenoord are fifth and level on points with Ajax after a 2-1 win at RKC Waalwijk. A deflected goal by Jerson Cabral with seven minutes remaining saw Feyenoord claim victory over the ten men of RKC, who took the lead through Rick ten Voorde in the first half before losing Robert Braber to a red card for a late tackle on Otman Bakkal. The visitors levelled with 14 minutes to go through John Guidetti before Cabral\'s late intervention. Rock-bottom Excelsior and ADO Den Haag drew 1-1 to secure a point apiece that did neither side many favours at the foot of the standings. Leen van Steensel put Excelsior in front in the second minute but the visitors hit back just before the hour through Jens Toornstra.
