Human development expert Ibrahim ElFiky Cairo - Arabstoday Ibrahim El-Fiky, one of Egypt’s leading experts in the field of human development, died when his Nasr City apartment was consumed by fire in the early hours of Friday morning. He was 62. The fire reportedly began on the third floor of El-Fiky’s psychology centre before spreading to the rest of the apartment building. El-Fiky’s sister, Fawkeya, 73, and their housekeeper, 72, were also killed in blaze. General Samy Lotfy, deputy head of Cairo’s Investigative Department, has instructed forensic experts to determine the cause of the fire. El-Fiky’s nephew reportedly told police in the wake of the incident that the building had contained a large a number of heaters that may have played a role in starting the conflagration. El-Fiky, who had a doctorate in Metaphysics from the Metaphysics University of Los Angeles, was certified to provide training in Hypnotherapy and various homeopathic healing methods, serving as head of the Canadian Training Center of Power Human Energy. He authored numerous books on the subject of human development, along with instructional videotapes, audiotapes and DVDs. His books include “Seven Secrets of Personal Power,” "Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Unlimited Communication Power," and “Ten Keys to Ultimate Success.” El-Fiky held countless workshops and seminars on metaphysics and in recent years had been a frequent and popular guest on a multitude of Egyptian television programs. Ahram
