Dior baby collection f/w 2012 Paris- Arabstoday Dior Kid Fall-Winter 2012 Collection features historical photos reinterpreted by little cherubs shot in settings outside 30 Avenue Montaigne, in the salons and on the banks of the Seine. The season’s silhouettes have been constructed around projected volumes and iconic shapes like the Bar jacket for the Kid Girl collection or the tailoring for the Kid Boy. The silhouette gains in volume and becomes even more generous. Monsieur Dior once used 45 meters of fabric for the dress Cyclone and now there are up to 7 meters on the cotton cloth skirt in the current collection. The Houndstooth pattern worshiped by Monsieur Dior has been revisited this season on washed silk in a feminine and childlike variation. The studio has reinterpreted the archives to create a pastel pattern. The silk satin has been printed in Italy. A special finishing technique gives it the exceptional property of being machine washable.
