Japanese Ambassador in Cairo Takehiro Kagawa asserted that the Egyptian-Japanese educational partnership (EJEP) is one of the most important results of the successful visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Japan that run from February 28 to March 2.
The partnership aims at boosting cooperation in the educational field in the pre-basic educational stages and higher education along with technical education, he said.
This came during a reception held by Takehiro for the Egyptian graduates who had scholarships from the Japanese government.
Minister of Education Hilali Sherbini along with other university professors attended the event.
In his speech, Sherbini asserted the importance of EJEP and exchanging expertise between both countries via implementing the Japanese special experiment in the field of technical education and transferring the model of Japanese schools to the educational institutions in Egypt.
Sisi paid a visit to Japan as part of an eight-day Asian tour also including Kazakhstan and South Korea.
