A Turkish soldier was killed and five others were injured

A Turkish soldier was killed and five others were injured Tuesday during an operation against PKK militants in southeastern Turkey, a Turkish security source said.
The source said PKK militants detonated a roadside bomb in Gabar mountain region of Sirnak province while a security convoy was passing by, Turkey's Anadolu Agency (AA) reported.
More than 1,200 people, including security personnel and civilians, have been killed since the PKK resumed its armed campaign in July 2015.
