Turkish media outlets said on Monday eight persons were detained against the backdrop of the attack on a nightclub in Istanbul city on New Year's Eve.
Daesh group claimed responsibility for the attack, Sky News channel.
The terrorists, who carried out the operation, came from a Central Asian country, believed to be Uzbekistan or Kyrgyzstan.
Istanbul assault took place at Saturday night, leaving 39 persons dead and more than 60 others injured.
Most of the dead are foreigners.
