Ankara - Arab Today
A total of 44 ISIS militants were killed and 117 wounded in the northern Syrian city of Al-Bab during the ongoing Operation Euphrates Shield, the Turkish military said Wednesday.
The Turkish Armed Forces added that a total of 154 ISIS targets, including an armed vehicle, were destroyed as part of the operation, Turkish Anadolu Agency (AA) reported.
The army said that seven fighters from the Syrian opposition were wounded in the clashes.
The operation is part of the Turkish-led Operation Euphrates Shield, which began in late August to improve security, support coalition forces, and eliminate the terror threat along Turkey's border.
Since the launch of Operation Euphrates Shield, Turkish explosive ordnance disposal teams have neutralized 2,392 handmade explosives and 42 mines in areas cleared of ISIS.
