Two Turkish soldiers were killed Friday in a PKK attack in the southeastern province of Sirnak

Two Turkish soldiers were killed Friday in a PKK attack in the southeastern province of Sirnak, a security source said according to Anadolu Agency.
Two other soldiers were wounded when the assailants launched an attack on Andac gendarme command in Uludere district, the source added. The injured personnel were airlifted to the hospital via a military helicopter, while an operation was underway to apprehend the terrorists in the region.
PKK resumed its attacks against Turkish army and police in the wake of the fall of a truce between the group and the Turkish government in July 2015. Since then, more than 600 security personnel and 7,000 PKK militants were killed.
