New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was taken to a hospital Thursday morning, with his spokesman saying it was precautionary. Michael Drewniak said the governor, who suffers from asthma, complained of difficulty breathing, The Star-Ledger of Newark reported. A signing ceremony in Hillsborough in central New Jersey was canceled and he was taken to the emergency room at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Drewniak could not say if Christie's scheduled appearance on the "Ask the Governor" radio show would go on as scheduled Thursday night on 101.5-FM. The spokesman said the decision to go to the emergency room as made "out of an abundance of caution."
