A strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.6 has struck off the east coast of Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia's Far East, seismologists say.
The quake occurred at a depth of 30 km and was centered 225 km west-southwest of Nilol'skoye, Komandorskiye Ostrova, Russia, the US Geological Survey said.
No tsunami warnings have been issued.
