A sightseeing helicopter crashed in east Tennessee

At least five people were killed when a sightseeing helicopter crashed in east Tennessee, the authorities said.
A spokesman for the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, Dean Flener, said five people on board had been killed. He said he did not know if anyone had survived the crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that the accident happened near Sevierville, Tennessee, east of Knoxville, and that the helicopter, a Bell 206, had been destroyed by a fire.
Flener said the crash had caused a fire at the accident site and that emergency crews were working to ensure that it did not spread.
