A fire broke out at a villa compound near the Khartiyat Interchange on the Shamal road yesterday. There were no reports of any injuries in the fire which started around 11am. Civil Defence personnel rushed to the spot and prevented the fire from spreading to more areas. The fire caused only minor damage, sources said.
