The United States has sent FBI teams to help Belgian authorities investigate the recent Brussels attacks that killed at least 32 people, with senior US and Belgian officials set to discuss the cooperation this week, the White House says.
"Belgium has accepted our assistance," White House Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes told a news briefing.
"We have FBI teams on the ground assisting with the investigation. We are sharing information and intelligence with Belgium as it relates to terrorist threats." Several of the victims in the deadly Brussels attacks were US citizens.
