2 police officers were killed and at least 14 others injured Friday morning as a car bomb struck their barracks in the Kurdish city of Nusaybin in Mardin province, southeastern Turkey.
According to local officials, the building belonged to the region’s traffic police department Some of the wounded are civilians, four of them believed to be in critical condition.
Mardin police announced that the headquarters came under rocket and assault rifle fire following the car bomb explosion.
The police believe fighters of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) were behind the attack.
