Blast hits police base in Kabul, casualties reported

A powerful explosion rocked a police base in central Kabul on Monday and several bodies were strewn around the area, an AFP photographer at the scene reported.

Ambulances rushed to the scene but there was no immediate comment from Afghan security officials.
