All 10 passengers of a small plane operated by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) were killed in a crash on Tuesday morning, the Russian news agency Sputnik reported, quoting local media.
According to local NDTV broadcaster, the incident with a plane bound to Ranchi happened soon after take-off near the Delhi airport at 9:50 a.m. local time (04:20 GMT).
The plane, carrying 10 people, reportedly hit a wall trying to return to the runway due to technical problems.
The country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, while India's Home Affairs Minister Rajnath Singh said on Twitter that the news of BSF plane crash was "extremely painful."
