Four Pakistanis died as their boat sank early Wednesday in the River Nile in Cairo's Boulaq Abul Eila district, Assistant Interior Minister Hamed el Eqeily said.
Six others on the boat were saved, he said in statements to MENA.
The boat sank as it hit a cement pillar of the Sixth October Bridge, he said, noting that the boat license is valid until February 2018.
One of the bodies of the dead was retrieved, he said, noting that efforts are underway to recover the rest of the bodies.
