2 Turkish soldiers killed near Syrian borders

Two Turkish soldiers were killed and two others injured in an explosion in the district of Nusaybin, in southeastern Turkey, near the Syrian borders.

According to Sky News Arabia, this is the second attack against Turkish troops in 24 hours.

On Monday, two Turkish soldiers were killed, and scores others were injured, when a car bomb exploded at a security base in Turkey's Kurdish-dominated southeast.

The attack, late Monday, targeted a military outpost in the Hani district of Diyarbakir province.

Turkish authorities have blamed the bombing on the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party.

Thousands of militant and hundreds of civilians and soldiers have been killed in the largely Kurdish southeast since a PKK cease-fire and peace process collapsed in July 2015.

The PKK is designated a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and European Union.
