A light aircraft crashed in North Yorkshire Saturday morning, causing two casualties, local police said.

The accident occurred near Castle Howard in Ryedale at about 10:40 a.m. local time, and emergency services are currently at the scene, said North Yorkshire Police.

Roads in the area have been closed and members of the public are advised to keep away from the area, police added.
