Three people were killed and 15 others were injured in a gas explosion at the multi-story residential house in the central Russian city of Ryazan, the press service of the Central regional center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry said on Sunday.
The ministry said that 57 people were evacuated from the scene and taken to a temporary shelter center. "In the explosion, three people died, 15 got injured, and five of them are at hospitals," press secretary of the regional governor Olga Chulyayeva told (TASS) on Sunday.
Two people may remain under the debris of the house, the Emergencies Ministry's representative Alexander Zhdannikov said in an interview with Rossiya 24 television channel.
"According to the information we received from residents of that house, under the debris still may be two people," he said adding rescuers continue clearing the debris. Local authorities began to investigate the incident.
