Japan and the United States held a joint antinuclear disaster drill at the US Navy's Yokosuka base in Kanagawa Prefecture on Wednesday, Kyodo reported.
The drill was conducted on the assumption that a crew member of the US aircraft carrier George Washington had been exposed to radiation on the nuclear-powered ship and had suffered a broken bone.
About 170 people, including officials from the US Embassy in Japan and the prefectural government, took part in the drill. (MENA)
