Israeli forces night detained 12 Palestinians across the West Bank districts

Israeli forces Tuesday night detained 12 Palestinians across the West Bank districts, according to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS).

Wafa News Agency said a female from Hebron was among the detainees.

In Hebron city, in southern West Bank, Israeli soldiers stationed at Abur-Rish military checkpoint detained a female Palestinian, identified as 23-year-old Shefaa Atrash, allegedly after she attempted to stab some of them with a knife.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces broke into the nearby town of Halhoul and detained Abdul Qader Janazreh, Ayman Amran and Ali Sarayaa.

Israeli forces also stormed the village of Beit Fajjar and Aida refugee camp, both in Bethlehem area, where they detained two local Palestinians. They are identified as Alaa Taqatqa, 20, and Ahmad Faraj, 16.

Israeli troops also reportedly detained Sohaib Abdul Hadi, 20, from Tulkarm area; Anas Barham, 20, from Qalqilia; Ahmad Rabayaa from Jenin; Maher Sarhan, 16, and Yousef Khatib, 14, from Jerusalem district.

Meanwhile, Israeli settlers from the illegal settlement of Beitar Illit west of Bethlehem, Wednesday dumped waste water in a Palestinian land planted with olive trees and grapes. 

Hasan Brijiyeh, from the separation wall and settlements committee in Bethlehem said this act, if repeated, will burn the trees, ruin the crops and cause an environment pollution.

Furthermore, Israeli forces at dawn demolished three Palestinian houses in Um al Kheir village near Hebron, in southern West Bank, after forcing the residence to leave, according to local and security sources.
