Cairo - MENA
Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Tareq Amer said on Tuesday that a study is underway to increase the capital of two state-owned banks in the Egyptian Exchange.
Amer stressed that the mentioned banks are not the National Bank of Egypt or Banque Misr, adding that the two banks will be announced soon.
The increase of the two banks' capital aims aims at making the Egyptian Exchange stronger to meet the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, he added.
