British Prime Minister David Cameron on Tuesday announced almost £40 billion (54.6 billion euros, $61.9 billion) in deals with China during a visit to Britain by President Xi Jinping.

The amount was higher than the £30 billion that Cameron's office earlier said had been expected to be signed during the visit and which included the signing of a historic nuclear power plant agreement.
