Tunisian actress, Lubna Nouman

Tunisian actress, Lubna Nouman, said she retreated from the decision to retire, which she described as hasty decision, pointing out that her fans' reactions are the reason behind this retreat.

In an exclusive interview with Al Maghrib Today, Nouman considered the idea of publishing her resignation statement, which was an expression of her own sense in a true existential moment, noting that this retirement is like a warrior's break, and that everything she wrote in her retirement statement is a real problem for many artists.

"The artist's profession is distinguished and noble, has its mechanisms and references, but she felt in a moment of contemplation of existential that she can not complete her career as an actress", she stated, adding that the artist can not live without dignity and freedom.

Nouman said that she wrote what she experienced in existential moments, but she felt responsible towards the people who work with her, not just the fans' reactions. "My husband, Mahdi Chakroun, told me how you take this decision on your own and we are together in the same project, and we live the same pain," she indicated.

She stressed that she did not write her statement for excitement, pointing out that what she wrote is not a personal issue, but stems from self-suffering experienced by many artists, and therefore there is an invitation to all artists to line up and if necessary to form a rescue front for the artist in Tunisia.

The Tunisian actress praised her participation in "Flash Back 2" series, playing the role of "Sandra", adding that this role is an important technical station for her career.
