Scientific Research Minister Sherif Hamad announced accepting the resignation of head of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI) Hanan el Baz.

This comes after the surprise tour carried out by Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab of the institute and his discontent with the negligence in it.

Hamad told MENA that Mahlab gave orders to officials at the institute to set an urgent plan in cooperation with the Health Ministry so as to conduct an administrative reform to the institute and improve the medical services offered to citizens.

The minister underlined that he will supervise by himself the implementation of the reformation plan during the coming phase to end negligence inside the TBRI.
