No cases of the Ebola Virus have been detected in Jordan, health minister Ali Heyasat announced on Sunday as he briefed the cabinet on a national plan to deal with the deadly disease. He said the ministry had put in place a set of measures in line with the World Health Organisation’s instructions, adding that all health facilities had been provided with details about the symptoms of the disease, infections and suspected cases.
Also, as part of the precautions, emphasis was laid on monitoring, early detection, infection control, isolation and travel and civil aviation-related instructions, stressing that the main government-run Al Bashir Hospital was fully equipped to deal with any Ebola cases.
