The UN Security Council today unanimously adopted a British draft resolution calling for the full implementation of the political transition process in Yemen and the extension of sanctions imposed on al-Houthi militia and forces loyal to the ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh for another year.
The official Yemen News Agency reported that the resolution will enable the group of experts of the sanctions committee to monitor and freeze nearly US$50 million looted by deposed president Abdullah Saleh.
