A Tunisian medical aid convoy arrived late Tuesday in Gaza. Jalal Ayyad, head of Amal organization for social development in Tunisia, said the visit was to show solidarity with Gaza. The medical aid is only symbolic; the main aim is to lift the siege, he said. Still, the Tunisian delegation is carrying 1.5 tons of medication and medical aid, officials said. The delegation will stay in Gaza for about a week to see the lasting effects of Israel's Cast Lead operation.
