Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi has issued a decree to pardon 859 detainees on the occasion of the Greater Bairam.

The decree was taken during a meeting with Justice Minister Mohamed Salah Ben Aissa.

The meeting tackled the prison system, security of prisons and means to upgrade infrastructure.
