Marrakech security services arrested, on Monday, three drug traffickers who were carrying an important amount of the illegal substance.

Thanks to accurate tip-offs and surveillance operations, the security services succeeded in arresting the first person in possession of nine lumps of cannabis resin, a security source said. The search operation resulted in the seizure of 50 kilograms of cannabis, 10kg of smuggled tobacco and over 2kg of cannabis resin (chira).

The three suspects were remanded in custody pending the completion of the investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor.
