Sudanese Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha has recommended to offer all facilities and removing all obstacles hinering the arab investment in Sudan in general and the Kuwaiti one in particular. Earlier tonight Al-Shimali held talks with Sudanese Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha and said after the talks that Vice President pledged that his government will offer all possible facilitation to Kuwaiti investors willing to do business in Sudan. For his part, Sudanese Minister of Finance and National Economy Ali Mahmoud Abdel-Raroul asserted in a press statement issued here Thursday following his meeting with Kuwaiti Minister of Finance Mustafa Al-Shimali , now visiting Sudan, that Sudan is duly keen to continue upgrade the investment encouragement law for attracting new investors into Sudan. The Sudanese government is about to expand and enhance the kuwaiti investments in Sudan ,said Sudanese Minister of Finance and National Economy Ali Mahmoud told reporters. The kuwaiti finance minister and his Sudanese counterpart co-chaired here Thursday night a meeting to explore ways to enhance the bilateral economic ties. Addressing the meeting, Al-Shimali voiced satisfaction with “the steady growth of the bilateral ties noting that Kuwait shows great interest in the economic development of Sudan as shown in the fact that Sudan was the first recipient of a loan from Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED). “The State of Kuwait is one of the first and biggest investors in Sudan,” Al-Shimali said, recalling Kuwait’s initiative to host the international conference of donors for east Sudan post-conflict rehabilitation in December, 2010.
