Dead Sea - Arab Today
Starting here Wednesday, the 28th Arab Summit is to Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al Malki a landmark and important gathering that should bring the Palestinian cause back to the front burner.
Speaking before a meeting of Arab foreign ministers here Monday, Malki said the summit will be held amid exceptional circumstances and wars against terrorism.
The Palestinian top diplomat denied claims about moves to amend the Arab peace initiative or any of its articles.
This is not acceptable at the Palestinian and Arab levels, Malki stressed.
No Arab country would likely accept Israel's vision and dictation, he said, noting that the initiative had been launched in 2002 to reflect a clear Arab stance.
