Law enforcement forces destroyed a 20-meter-deep tunnel in southern Rafah and three other sub tunnels, military spokesman Mohamed Samir said in a statement Sunday.

Three control rooms, three induction engines, three panel boards feeding the tunnels as well as power cables connected to loud speakers were found inside the tunnels, the spokesman said.

Security forces in Sinai are continuing efforts to unearth and destroy border tunnels used by militants in smuggling operations.
