Ras El Jedir, Tunisia\'s main border crossing with Libya, reopened on Thursday, the state-run press agency TAP reported. Tunisian authorities closed the border crossing late last month following repeated incursions into Tunisian territory by armed Libyans, who reportedly opened fire on Tunisian guards. One of the conditions for its reopening was that the border post be manned and secured by professional Libyan customs officers and guardsmen. On Thursday, 150 Tunisians and 6 Libyans crossed the border in both directions, TAP said.
