President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 554 inmates all over the country and paying off their debts on the occasion of the 40th National Day celebrations. The President’s humanitarian gesture on pardoning prison inmates comes in line with Sheikh Khalifa’s keenness to give them a chance to restart life and ease the suffering of their families. The release and settlement of the financial commitments reflect the habits of the UAE President in religious and national occasions, and reiterates the  tolerant spirit of the UAE community.
