Jordan on Monday welcomed Saudi King Abdullah\'s call for an emergency Islamic summit in Makkah on Ramadan 27th. The Jordanian Foreign Minister Naser Judeh said he believed the call will receive a wide response in view of the challenges facing the Muslim world. Judeh also said that the increasing number of victims in Syria is a cause for concern and called for a peaceful, applicable solution to help the country avert further bloodshed. Since May 2011 some 140,000 Syrians have flooded into Jordan, he said.
