Protesters run from tear gas fired by security forces

Iraqi police have hurled tear gas bombs at protesters who gathered in Tahrir Square in Baghdad following a statement by Muqtada al Sadr to march toward the Green Zone to press for changing the Iraqi electoral commission. 

Police troops fired tear gas at protesters who started to march toward the Green Zone in a bid to disperse them. Two helicopters were also used. Protesters are still gathering in Tahrir Square.
