The Minister of International Cooperation Ambassador Idris Suleiman has underlined the ministry's commitment to overcome all difficulties faced by the Arab humanitarian organizations operating in the country, praising their contribution to the development of the country.
During his meeting with the Arab humanitarian organizations, the minister urged the organizations to give the development work much concern, pointing out to the establishment of joint work in the humanitarian fields (water, health, education), reiterating his directives to the organizations to give an opportunity to the media organs to reflect the activities of the organizations.
"The meeting reviewed the work of the international Islamic humanitarian organizations operating throughout the Sudan in all humanitarian and development sectors," said Dr. Ahmed Al-Sanosi, the Director of the Sudan office at the Forum of the International Islamic Humanitarian Organizations, adding that the minister called for overcoming all the challenges and problems facing them in coordination with all relevant parties to facilitate the work of organizations.
Dr. Al-Sanosi revealed that the Ministry of International Cooperation enabled coordination with the donating international organizations to work together with the international Islamic humanitarian organizations in the field of development work.
Dr. Al-Sanosi said that the international Islamic humanitarian Organizations have been working in coordination with the humanitarian partners and the UN organizations, referring to establishment of joint programs and maximization of the benefit of these programs, revealing that they sometimes send joint missions to assess the humanitarian situations when needed as well as the provision of necessary protection for the organizations and ensuring transparency and neutrality.
