Egypt\'s parliamentary elections are expected take place on Monday. Despite the current unrest, many Egyptians are looking forward to a peaceful democratic transfer of power. Jamila Ismail, Parliamentary Candidate, said, \"This is a new Egypt where the people are the strongest factor, stronger than the political trends, stronger than the religious trends, stronger than the military even. Stronger than any authority\" Essam El-Erian, Vice Chairman of Freedom and Justice Party, said, \"The way out of the current situation is holding the elections and for everyone to accept the results. Then power must be handed over to those who have been elected by the people, because that will guarantee the transition to a democratic life, despite the difficulties that will come after the elections. Postponing the elections, or not being satisfied with election results, will lead to confusion and chaos.\" Nady Mohamed, Local Resident, said, \"I support having the elections on time, the country has to have a government and the country has to have a parliament so that the country can move on. The current situation can’t go on, people can’t find food.\"
