Egypt\'s Minister of Culture Emad Abu Ghazi confirmed on Monday that he has resigned from his post as Minister of Culture and is resuming his life as a normal Egyptian citizen. Abu Ghazi told Egyptian Middle East News Agency (MENA) today that he will not back down on his resignation, which was presented due to what he saw as the government\'\'s bad handling of the protests in Tahrir square. He discredited reports issued earlier yesterday that his daughter was arrested by police forces while she was in Tahrir square. He labeled these reports as \"nonsense\" and \"attempting to tarnish his image.\" Egypt witnessed clashes between protestors and police and army forces in the last two days which resulted in 22 deaths and more than a 1000 injuries according to the Egyptian Ministry of Health.
