The appeals court yesterday ordered the arrest of a man who complained about a bounced cheque but failed to show up to give evidence. The man accused of issuing the bounced cheque told the court he did not know the man and had never seen him before. \"I have never known the plaintiff before, how could there be financial transactions between us?\" he said. His defence lawyer refused to present his case before the complainant testified. The judge ordered the arrest of the complainant so that he could be forced to attend the next hearing, which was scheduled for September 4. By The National
