Customs authorities at Borg el Arab International Airport foiled on Thursday three attempts to smuggle amounts of local and foreign currencies.

In statements, a source at the customs authorities said officers suspected three passengers who were leaving the country and inspected them to find the currencies in their possession.

All legal measures were taken and a probe was launched into the incidents.
