Assistant Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabr Al Dossari met in his office at the Ministry’s General Court today with a number of officials from the Ministry of Labour and Social Development to discuss the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Report on Children’s Rights.
During the meeting, the Assistant Minister underlined the great significance accorded by the Kingdom of Bahrain to the National Strategy for Children 2013-2017 as reflective of the leadership’s keenness and wise directives in this respect.
"Such a strategy is capable of protecting children’s rights against the threats that jeopardize their future and came to build upon the Kingdom’s overall efforts and continued endeavours to create for them a healthy environment for living and learning.
He pointed out that the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in this regard have been ongoing and well-reputed since many years as well as they have seen success with the issuance of Child Rights Law 37 of 2012.
The Assistant Minister emphasised the need to increase community awareness on Children’s Rights by reporting cases of violence against children, pointing out to the centers and experts Bahrain has provided to deal with such cases.
He also praised the efforts of those in charge of the centers and all the sides concerned with children’s rights in the kingdom for the awareness programs that entitled Bahrain to occupy a prominent position at the Arab and international levels in terms of quality of child-oriented awareness programs.
