Dead Sea - Arab Today
The 28th Arab Summit kicked off on Wednesday in Jordan, with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi participating.
The summit is scheduled to discuss the 17-item agenda that was referred by the Arab foreign ministers at the end of their preparatory meetings, under Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al Safadi.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Federica Mogherini, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, and Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki participate in the summit's opening session.
Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Yousef bin Ahmad al Othaimeen, Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mishaal bin Fahmy al Salami, as well as the envoys of the US and Russian presidents and the French government also participate in the meeting.
The two-day summit will adopt the "Amman Declaration".
